Took a day tour to Bath and Stonehenge during my UK trip in 2005. The tour departed on 8 am on a MPV, with a driver-guide as well as 13 other tourists.

The driver stopped midway on the road, and pointed us to a large horse-like figure on a hill slope distance away. Honestly I was blurred about what he said (something about chalk), as I never heard of anything about it before…

A visit to Malaysia’s Zoo Negara (National Zoo) on June 2, 2007.

It was our king’s birthday and a public holiday; my sister (with hubby and kids) from Penang took the chance to visit us in Kuala Lumpur… and the zoo seemed like the perfect place for family outing, especially with a bunch of little kids.

Random photos in London, first full day of my UK trip in October 2005…

The National Gallery

I am not an artistic person; didn’t plan to visit the National Gallery, but I was desperately in need to visit the toilet… might as well take a peep after the pee.

English subbed Korean music video of Scolded, OST for TV drama If In Love… Like Them starring Lee Hyori (the singer) and Lee Dong-gun etc. Pretty nice song; fits well with the sad drama theme [video via Internationaljackies@YT]…

Tower of London was already closing when I reached there; not that I planned to go in anyway. The place is often ranked as the must visit place in London ahead of other tourist spots, but I’m not interested with its attraction somehow.

15 contestants took part in the Bridezilla-Ultimate Cake Eating Contest in Times Square, NYC, on June 12. The event kicked off the 4th season of reality show Bridezillas, with the winner walking away with the USD25,000 cash prize.

According to Mainichi, a huge numbers of migratory locusts have invaded the island of the No 2 runway at Kansai International Airport that is due to open on August 2, prompting an extermination effort.

Kansai International Airport is located on an artificial island in the middle of Osaka Bay, off the shore of Sennan district of Osaka, Japan.

I never knew that there are locusts in Japan. The locusts were first noticed in large numbers on June 9, and now it’s estimated that a million locusts are around the new runway on the reclaimed island.

On Wednesday the airport workers sprayed chemicals as part of an extermination effort and mowed the grass where the locusts live.

Some wonder if the large number of insects is a sign that the airport will be buzzing with business once the second runway opens lol.

Some old photos of KL International Motor Show (KLIMS06) in May 2006 at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur. The main attraction that got me to there was Honda’s ASIMO robot, the rest were just bonuses.

I was expecting more exotic cars, but most of the engines were common models that could be found in normal show rooms… so it’s a bit disappointing in that sense; or perhaps I was asking too much?

Another main attraction for KLIMS was the showgirls. Lots of the guys were obviously going for the models instead of the machines… and I guess most of them would be pretty happy with the visit. Some photos below…
