Thought to be the first McDonald’s store when I posted the original article… but turned out that it’s a museum which was modelled after the first McDonald’s Restaurant opened by McDonald’s Corporation founder, Ray Kroc, in Des Plaines, Illinois in 1955.
The first McDonald’s was actually opened by Dick and Mac McDonald in San Bernardino, California in 1948… the Des Plaines restaurant was the ninth outlet but is often regarded to be the beginning of the modern McDonald’s franchise that exist today [more McDonald's history on Wiki]
Korean pop star BoA’s Japanese blog has been a hit since its launching in June 2007. She frequently updates the blog, introducing Korean food and culture to her Japanese fans with some lovely pics… the fans are loving it.

Sidus HQ, one of Korea’s largest talent management agency, has opened an office in Beijing. Just to name a few of their stars… Jun Ji-hyun, Song Hye-kyo, Jeon Do-yeon, Cha Tae-hyun, Jung Woo-sung, Jo In-sung and Jang Hyuk etc.
The Beijing office will promote Sidus HQ’s Korean artists in China as well as looking for new Chinese talents. The company also plans to cooperate with local firms in film and TV productions; and will be bringing some of their A-list stars to work in those joint-venture productions.
Japanese paper goods company Banbix has teamed up with newspaper manga artist and TV celebrity Yakumi Tsuru to sell toilet paper with his manga drawings and 4 panel comics printed on it.
Japanese manga fans can enjoy their reading while doing serious business now.
Korean all-girls pop group So Nyuh Shi Dae (or Girl’s Generation) has released their debut single Into The New World (다시 만난 세계) on August 2.
The song is just ok; but the video kinda refreshing, and a few of the girls look cute. Might take a while to remember who’s who in the 9-members group though.
