BP International House, Hong Kong

We stayed at BP International House (香港龍堡國際賓館) for the first two nights in Hong Kong before transferring to Disney’s Hollywood Hotel later on.

Our room view at BP International – Victoria Harbour should be visible in good weather, but it was really hazy during our 2007 visit. Not a bad view regardless.

BP is the acronym for Baden Powell, the founder of Scout Movement. The 25-storey building is actually the Hong Kong Scout Centre; the headquarters only occupied a few floors though, the rest are hotel rooms and facilities.

Great location, reasonable price, nice staff. Room was small, but it’s probably a norm in Hong Kong where land and space are in premium. And if you are lucky you might get a decent room view of Tsim Sha Tsui and a bit of Victoria Harbour.
