Schoolboy Ryo Ishikawa became the youngest ever person to win a major golf tournament in Japan.
The 15-year-old Japanese earned the red winner’s jacket of the Munsingwear Open on Sunday in his first ever participation in a professional competition.
Ishikawa sets a new record as the youngest golfer to win a Japanese male tournament, previously held by Spanish world golf legend Severiano Ballesteros, who won the 1977 Japan Open at the age of 20.
