Halloween is primarily a western festival, but more and more young Asians are getting into the bandwagon these days, particularly those who live in big cities… seems like every pubs and night clubs in KL are having a Halloween party of some sort.

I’ve never been interested with Halloween celebrations though; it just doesn’t click for me. Anyway, Happy Halloween, and happy holiday to some of you folks…

Coffee gets hotter in America. Drive-through coffee stands with bikini clad baristas are making waves in some American cities for the past year or two…

The concept is going to get some backslash for sure. Belfare, Washington, is the first township barring these sexpresso’s stands from business… I guess it’s just a matter of time before other places following their suit.

It’s probably not a problem if one or two coffee stands are getting sexier, but it’s obviously inappropriate when it’s becoming a trend. Imagine having a sexpresso stand at every corner of the streets… that would be like heaven kinda disturbing.

I have to be honest though… if I’m in US, I won’t mind at all to visit one of these coffee stands; and I could become a regular customer if their coffee doesn’t sux. Sex sells… and it almost never failed.

Hong Kong actress Gigi Lai announced on Monday (Oct 20) her retirement from entertainment world after 23 years into the show business.

Hong Kong actress Gigi LaiThe 37-year-old actress made the announcement during a promotion event for her latest (and probably last) TV series “The Gems of Life”.

Gigi stated that she wants to spend more time on family matters, presumably to take care of her brother who was badly injured in a car accident in May 2007.

There are rumours that another reason behind her decision is to prepare for her marriage with a low profile millionaire; she denied about it though.

Gigi has starred in more than 50 movies and drama series over the years. Her career first peaked in mid-90s with the “Young and Dangerous” movies, but then gone downwards for a few years before making a successful return into drama acting in 2004 and remains popular since then.

To be frank, I’m not really going to miss her acting… wishing her all the best anyway.

Korean pop star Kim Jong-kook is making his comeback after completing his two-year military service in May 2008. He released his 5th album yesterday (Oct 22), titled “Here I am”… should be interesting to see if he still got what it takes to excel in showbiz.

Below is the English subbed music video for the first promotional track, “Today more than Yesterday”. The video is cute; the song was not really appealing at first, but quite nice after listening to it for a few times…
