Didn’t know that Pepsi is selling purified water until seeing it in Hanoi a week ago… the name of the brand is Aquafina; and it’s probably one of the two best selling bottled water brands in Hanoi.

Must be the healthiest drink from Pepsi…

Aquafina is currently distributed in only a few countries, namely USA, Canada, India, Pakistan, Turkey and Vietnam. In case you are wondering… it taste like water, yada.

YeinJee, Aquafina has been around in the west for a very long time. Pepsi (or pepsi Foods as it’s actually called) is a division that sells alot of different things. They are connected with Frito Lay company.

The only thing Pepsi can’t seem to top in sells is it’s original namebrand soda (softdrink). Coca Cola will always be king in that area.

lol, aquafina is widely sold here (canada), so when i saw the bottle, i was already familiar with it. but i don’t usually buy it, because there are better tasting ones that are cheaper in price. i never knew that it’s just distributed in a few countries in the world though. personally, i think the brand evian is the best bottled water. =]

For my money, the best tasting “purified water” is DEJA VU, in the blue bottle made by Dr Pepper Co.

  10. Anonymous on July 27th, 2008 at 8:33pm

Sorry, I meant to type DEJA BLUE, lol.

I like Aquafina better then the other brands but for some reason I didn’t drink that brand when I was in Vietnam.

  12. Yein Jee on July 27th, 2008 at 9:30pm

Hmmm… seriously, does water taste any different :p

Normally I would just go for the cheaper one lol.

I love going to vietnam. I only been to central vietnam and most of southern vietnam. It is soo hot overthere, the only i do to to keep cool is drink aquafina and take showers like 6 times a day

Actually YeinJee, there is some slight differences. Some bottled water taste like some tap water (like it’s been in the metal pipes too long lol) Some purified water has a little sweeter taste (very slightly) than others. The differences are subtle but there. Kind of like wine tasting, lol. I actuall like the taste of purified water a little better than natural mineral or spring water. And well water in some areas is just nasty imo. My grandmother used to have well water and it wasn’t very tasty. Different taste for different people. Whatever you’re used to I guess.

Sam’s purified water. The best and most affordable bottled water.

  17. Yein Jee on July 28th, 2008 at 1:03pm

leo… it’s not distributed in Australia.

kobeonekinobe… heat is not the only issue; the biggest problem is the humidity… it gives people the sticky feeling after sweating.

Hmmm, I’ll have to be honest, all the water taste same to me. I don’t usually drink bottled waters btw… normally during travels.

AP… funny. It’s amazing you can write in decent English but can’t read at all.

  20. Anonymous on August 12th, 2008 at 11:42pm

Aquafina is just bottled tap water. Read the label on the back and it will tell you what “municipal source” it comes from. Major scam.

  21. Yein Jee on August 13th, 2008 at 10:52am

I won’t call it a scam. I am not sure about westerners, but most Asians differentiate ‘drinking water’ and ‘mineral water’ pretty well. Drinking water is treated water from taps, mineral water from natural sources, a spring for example… there is a huge price difference.

Aquafina is one of the best tasting bottled water period.
