the song is not bad, but the style too similar to lies, their famous song. the beat and rhythm sounds so alike in chorus.

Alot of violent imagry. I’m also sorry seeing the ‘gangsta’ image and influence in entertainment spreading overseas so fast in recent years. That’s one American export I’d just as soon not see. Oh well, can’t prevent young people from picking up on the latest trends whether good or negative when the industry keeps putting it out there.

kyon… true, a bit similar indeed. The fans probably won’t mind though; they’ll take it as an emphasis-ism of music style.

cole… this MV is actually about a love story, but I get your point.

Last week there was a teenager in Thailand who killed a cab driver because he wanted to experience something ‘real’ after playing a video game call Grand Theft Auto IV… I can imagine music videos having similar influences.

I guess in entertainment world… money came first, morality probably near the other end.

Yes, I was referring to the imagry only. I gathered the video was about a love story. Thanks.

That’s sad about the Thailand incident. In fact, all those kinds of stories make me sad about today’s society and how things change sometimes change for the worse. I’ve heard about many of those kinds of “thrill” killings. Done for no reason other than to have the “experience”. It’d be nice if young people wanted to experience things of a little more peaceful nature that didn’t show such disregard for another innocent person’s life.

Gangs are alot like that. They do these silly, idiotic “initiations” where a new member goes and kills some random person to prove he (or she) is brave or worthy of membership. Ofcourse, it’s actually kind of a chicken- shit thing to do truthfully and shows no ‘real’ bravery in the sense of rejecting such things. (I think it takes real bravery for an individual to say ‘heel no’ to some of the craziness that people expect you to do in order to be accepted by the group) Those initiation killings merit no real respect, puts a person in even a lower status than they already were, doesn’t produce any better results for them in life, AND it shows a total disregard for human life….which is pretty sorry to tell the truth.

Grand Theft Auto is one of the most violent games out there and has been a hot pont in debate for awhile now about such games in the US and it’s influence on young people. Ofcourse, the manufacturers take no responsibility for anything and stand by their so-called constitutional freedoms all in the name of making money, as you so accurately pointed out.

Everyone just brushes it off and says “oh, kids have more sense than that and it doesn’t really influence them cause they know it’s all just games. Then some incident like the one you mentioned in Thailand happens for the reason given of trying to experience something “real” after watching some game and you start to have doubts. In addition, it just makes a parent’s job that much harder.

Correction on the “heel no” in the above post, LOL.

I meant to type “hell no” ;p

Most kids do have the sense to differentiate the fictions (games, songs etc) to the real world… unfortunately not all.

i heard grand theft auto or some other video game got banned in some country because of that murder? is it thailand?

Yes it’s Thailand, after the case I mentioned above. There are some other countries that banned the game as well, not sure which country… I have a hunch that China is one of them.
