Some people might say the same about what the women are doing.

"Got no problem with them walking around naked at home, but this is too much."

No double standards allowed, lol.

And while most of us talk about respecting the women's bodies...some might also say that those particular women walking around naked in public doesn't really show they have much respect for themselves. Even though they might feel they have the right, it's hard to respect people who don't show much respect for themselves.

And what about men??? Some people might get even more disgusted at men walking around naked.

Bottom line: If the women feel they have a right to parade themselves out in public naked, then the photographers have a right to snap their picture while they're naked out in public. Otherwise, the women have a right to cover themselves if they don't want people taking pictures.

bb... don't blame the photographers lol.

Ya, some of them might be pervert but from a photography enthusiast's stand point, we just want to take photos of things that are not normally seen daily. If I were in Auckland I would almost certain be there to take some photos too... it's not about nudity, it's like an addiction to add everything into our photo collection :p

not that i am overly conservative, but i think a woman's body should be respected, but not in this way.
i have no problem with men watching porn at home, but this is just too much.
i feel more disgusted looking at the people taking photos/filming than looking at the naked lady.

Well, and to be honest, there are people walking around in the streets these days that I wouldn't want to see naked, lol. ;p

One of the reasons the judged was allowing the parade was because there is no law that say that it's illegal to walk naked in Auckland. There are by-laws which forbid improper conduct, but then the definition of 'improper conduct' was probably not clear enough.

Well, different cultural perspective obviously; if a person is walking naked in Malaysia s/he will almost certain to end in jail... for US it's probably a summon and probation... for Auckland, there is nothing to stop them at the moment lol.

Well in that case I agree with the protestors then. Walking around naked in the city is illegal even in the U.S.. That's a reasonable law and reasonable laws should be obeyed. Otherwise society potentially gets out of control without some sort of laws to protect innocent and/or in this case any people who also have a right to be out in public who may be offended.

Also parents with children may not want them exposed to some freak walking around dangling everything in front of everybody in public tryng to make a point. And there's the potential health risks to themselves and the public.

The lady who was arrested had no necessary reason to be walking around naked. She did it knowing she was probably going to get arrested. Sounds like her motive was being an exibitionist, in which case she has every right to do it in private in front of a select group. They have nude beaches for that sort of thing, lol ...

I just don't have too much respect for those types of people who obviously have no respect for the rest of the people...That's the real issue the way I see it!

It's basically as you said YeinJee, these people are really just opportunists.

Iris... the organiser will be put into jail just for submitting the application lol.

cole... the parade was initially organised a few years ago after a lady was arrested for walking naked in the city... but I believe the organiser was purely taking the opportunity instead of seriously fighting for the cause of freedom or whatever.

kyon... keep your money and buy DVDs instead.

I got no problem with nudity being exibited among adults. What's not to love about a nice set of beautiful wobbly tits, LOL. (And I mean the real thing, not these store bnought stiff unatural things that so many girls get the impression anyone wants to see or feel...NOT)

But , here's the only problem I have with these kinds of events. It's a question of just what exactly is the motivation and goal of these cooks that get out in the streets to parade nudity and whatever. Alot of them are just trying to see what kind of reaction they'll get. They try to throw their audacity in people's faces basically and dare anyone to get offended. Why??? because it get's them alot of press. If people are gonna enjoy their bodies and let others enjoy looking as well, then how about a little maturity to go along with it all?

They can just as easily keep their porn off the streets and on film and they won't lose any business whatsoever, so there's really no point in nude actors getting out in the street to flaunt themselves just for the sake of showing off. And I can almost bet that if no one showed up to see them (protestors or otherwise), they'd have their little feelings hurt for sure simply because they didn't get the reaction out of people they were hoping for, lol.
