A Chinese news anchor has created some hot debates in various Chinese forums after she was seen yawning during a live telecast of CCTV’s morning news.

Chinese news anchor yawning on live TV broadcast

CCTV, or China Central Television, is the major television broadcaster in Mainland China. A few weeks ago CCTV had made a similar blunder with another news reporter seen applying makeup during an evening broadcast.

Most of the netizens are showing sympathy over these mistakes, but are generally concerned that the quality of CCTV news are declining in recent months.

CCTV and the yawning news anchor have both apologised to the public.

yawning you can’t control, but putting on make-up, you can.
were these all broadcasted live or was it behind the scene?
cuz in that picture, the anchor isn’t even sitting up straight.

bb… it’s live. Both of the incidents happened because of poor communication between producers and reporters… the lady here must be thinking that she was not recorded at that moment.

It rarely happens everywhere around the world ain’t so? I can remember my local news channel making some bloopers, but applying makeup and yawning on live broadcast are unheard of.
