Had lunch at this De An Eatery (德安小吃) during my Taiwan trip in May 2008 at the small town of Fonglin in Hualian County, en route to Taichung City. The food was quite nice, and I loved their pork knuckles…

De An restaurant in Fonglin township

Goose meat and soy sauce with fresh basil leafs

Fried egg with Chinese pickled vegetables

A pretty nice view from the restaurant

yum… fat is good :p
Good for you mouth, not for your heart.
How did you do your travelling in Taiwan? Did you go with a tour or do backpacking? Thanks.
bc… on tour for this one.
The De An Resturant looks like a auto repair garage from the outside.
Like a recycling centre for scrapped metals too lol. The restaurant was quite clean though.
Like they say, “can’t judge a book by it’s cover.” Surprisingly good things may be be found on the inside. ;)
That omlete (fried egg) looks simply scrumptous!!!
So true cole… when my tour bus stopped over for lunch at the place, my first thought was “Seriously? That’s what I’d paid for?”… but turned out to be a decent meal instead.
