I don’t think the music genre is a concern, maybe a bit, but not a huge factor.

There are some rock bands and singers that are doing very well in Taiwan… Mayday, Wu Bai, Shin, Chang Chen Yue, Stanley Wong etc. I think Faith has been doing reasonably well too.

I would speculate that another reason she doesn’t get much press is because Taiwan music scene seems to be more pop oriented. This girl seems to be more alternative rock or folk rock sounding.

cole… as far as I know, she’s a pure Chinese.

bb… agree; it’s mainly due to her low-profile approach though. You won’t find much press coverage about her besides her music, which is actually a good thing in some sense… but most people would forget about her after some time because of the low exposure.
