woah, i dnt know her, but i am so happy for her finally after 16 years!!haha best wishes…i hope they can have another 16 years of relationship as husband and wife and more to come …and not just after a year because there are times (based on my observation), the gf/bf relationship is much better than being married, that i dont know why…

From what I understand… bright colours symbolise luck, fortune (and most of the good things)… but with yellow being the royal colour, the only option for ancient Chinese was red.

Chinese uses red colour for lots of the celebrations… and wedding gown is just one of those.

White is not really a good colour according to Chinese traditions; all-white was almost solely used in funerals… but these days nobody really cares.

So, could you tell me what the meaning of the red color for Chinese wedding gowns is YeinJee?

White wedding dresses in the west traditionally meant the bride was a virgin. Ofcourse, that’s become a rare thing these days to actually find a virgin bride…especially in the west. :/

Kelly wore a few different wedding gown that day… I think she has three that are super long, and one of it is definitely white.

Yes… red is the colour for traditional wedding dress. Lots of the urbanised Chinese are getting westernised when it comes to weddings though.

lol, don’t mean to be mean, but i think her hubby doesn’t look as great as her.
but anyway, he dresses are crazy! her white wedding gown was so long and huge.
makes me wonder, what’s the point of making these dresses? it’s sort of a waste of fabric.
they aren’t convenient. only good for taking photos maybe.
