American born idol Leah Dizon, 22, who makes her fame in Japan, shocked her fans at the end of a concert in Shibuya on Tuesday (Oct 14) with the announcement of her marriage and pregnancy [via Tokyograph]
Leah’s wedding was held last Friday at Hilton Tokyo Hotel in Shinjuku. Her husband is a Japanese stylist (in his 20s) whom she first met around a year ago while working on a CD cover. The couple should be expecting their baby around March 2009.

i don’t know if i’m really a fan of her, but i find her quite lovable and extremely pretty, despite her singing ability.

i never thought shotgun marriages would work out well for most people, but since she’s pregnant now, it’s better, i guess.

I think her popularity is going to dwindle alot after this, she was slowly losing popularity I think her new album sold about 4000 copies in Japan.
I don’t think the marriage will last long, some people are guessing a maximum of 2 years.

Well, her career will certainly move downwards because of the marriage… it’s a matter of how big the effect is.
I actually think that Leah still has a good chance of making a comeback; her focus in the last two years has shifted quite a lot imo… I kinda feel that she has more female fans than male fans these days, and she is moving into another direction by having her own fashion product line… if it’s not for the sudden marriage, she might be introducing her own lines of perfumes, cosmetic etc.
Perhaps a ‘cool mum’ image can appeal to the female market… and she might be introducing some baby products instead lol. We’ll see.

I fell in love with her when I first heard about her but I’ve been so busy I hadn’t kept up. I just did a google and came across this shocking news. I truly hope all works out well for her, she has alot of talent and it would be a real shame for her career to stagnate because of her personal affairs. I hope her fans (I know I support her) will continue to support her and build her up so she can grow as a performer instead of letting her fade into obscurity.
