Quan Com Pho is a Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi. Found this place via a travel guidebook during my Hanoi visit in July 2008, and the restaurant seemed pretty promising on some online reviews… thus giving it a try.
Their menu was quite different from what I had at other Hanoi restaurants; their food was kinda like a fusion of traditional Vietnamese cuisine with some new cooking ideas.

Sticky rice rolls with roast meat… quite a gem

thanks for the pics
the first dish looks delicious!
yum…sticky rice rolls…how interesting! i’ve had sticky rice but not like that! were you given any kind of sauce? fish sauce, maybe?
vietgirl… almost all Vietnamese dishes came with their own sauce ain’t so? For the first dish they actually gave two ’sauce’, one was a sour-sweet while the other was salt and pepper.
I’ve been to that restaurant in Hanoi and I ate that dish like 3 times and love it! The restaurant is right around the block from the kangaroo cafe. I’ve been looking for that recipe and have been asking Vietnamese friends for the name of the dish to no avail. If anyone had more info it would so make my day.
The restaurant menu seemed to be fusion; their dishes are probably not the typical recipe which you can find from Vietnamese home.
