Korean superstar Rain was interviewed by Time with readers-submitted questions…
“10 Questions for Rain” video (transcript available at K-popped)
Some good questions, and good answers; definitely sounds better than the interview I made. Still need to improve his English obviously, but kudos for the effort… at least he tried.

ai…. his english sounds as bad as mine. did anyone notice how he like to use the word “perfect”, and he has been talking about girls a lot recently, maybe he wants a gf very badly.
his level of english is not important at all.
i’m sure he would be more expressive if he were to speak in korean.
but he already used the best of his english vocabulary.
lol, i wonder if a girl’s ability to cook is really that important for guys.
i hope he’ll find her miss right…rain seems to be a great husband.
kyon… I can understand the ‘perfect’ usage. Non native English speakers tend to use some words at the beginning and ending of the sentences because we are sometimes not comfortable to let it end naturally. I often use some words like ‘well’, ‘obviously’ etc… couldn’t help.
Oh and true about the girls part… he did mention about it quite often lately.
bb… well, language is something that needs continuous practice to improve. So, it’s good to see him trying, because it’s the only way he can improve.
Girl’s ability to cook is not that relevant these days… lots of guys can cook better than girls, and we kinda accept the reality that lots of girls can’t cook. It is definitely a bonus though.
I think the key word in all of this is TRYING.
Win or lose at least he tried.
jas… quite true, and he needs to keep on trying.
you have to give him an “A” for effort.his English is actually pretty good. he probably talks about girls all the time cause people keep asking him questions about it.
wow i think that was amazing, i mean, he hasnt learnt english that long and can already answer a question qickly ^^ ive been learning french for 5 years now and cant even talk to someone in french because im bad in listening T_T rain FIGHTING
is it just me or does his English voice or accent sounds a little too feminine…even borderline gay
icutup… when a person is speaking a not-so-familiar language, his/her tone changed… and quite often to a softer pitch.
A little feminine? I think so… but not too much.
