Hi there, its so nice to see the photos of Shilin night Market in your website.

Many’s the time I’d head over to the night market for the great grub, including my favourite boiled white rice with a hot meat sauce spread over for only nt$10…….ooooh the memories come flooding back!

Food looks good but I still prefer a Louisiana Hot Link with sauerkraut, spicy mustard, and onions for a late night snack. I also like thin sliced beef tendon in hot oil and simmered pig’s feet, but the Louisiana Hot Links is definitely the best.

I actually dislike Shilin Night Market. After all the hu-ha and being regarded as Taiwan’s best night market, I was utterly disappointed when I paid them a visit.

I took no more than 10 pictures in the night market (food section) and most of the stuffs sold there didn’t seem to look appetizing to us. I was there for the food, and I only had like 3 items there. We ended up having cup noodles at our hotel later on.

Shilin Night Market is definitely over rated and doesn’t deserve the best night market in Taiwan title.

I personally feel Kaohsiung’s Liu He Night Market beats Shilin Night Market hands down.

I found the food at Shilin Night Market excellent. I ate there several times recently.

I especially like the pork belly soup.

Ya, the food was a bit disappointing there. It’s probably not right to say that the food is bad… it’s just that it doesn’t match our taste.
