It's about celebrity also. I wasn't neccesarily comparing Korea exactly to the US but rather the whole red carpet, starstruck mentality is very similar. I guess what I'm trying to point out is all the western style 'bigger than life' glitz and glamour surrounding these celebrities in their respective parts of the world.
