“Departures” (おくりびと, Okuribito) is a multiple award winning Japanese movie and winner of the best foreign language film at the 2009 Oscars.

Directed by Yojiro Takita and starring Masahiro Motoki, the movie follows the story of a nokanshi whose job is to prepare the death for encoffinment. Other main leads include Ryoko Hirosue and Tsutomu Yamazaki etc.

Seems like the Wonder Girls are performing Nobody, Nobody and Nobody besides “Nobody” throughout the tour so far. Seriously, aren’t they going to sing another song? An English version of “Tell Me” perhaps?

The girls are obviously getting noticed, for good or bad, among Jonas fans. But if they want to get bigger publicity in the US, they need something more than just singing the same old song with the same old look for two long months.

Acclaimed Malaysian director-screenwriter Yasmin Ahmad died on late Saturday at the age of 51 from a stroke she suffered on Thursday.

A great storyteller whom I personally admired, and a wonderful filmmaker adored by people regardless of races or religions. Rest in peace.
