Introducing the prettiest digital clock ever.

Bijin Tokei (literally beauty clock) is a web application with cute Japanese girls showing you the time on your PC, iPhone, gadget, website etc., which refreshed automatically with a new image every minute.

The models are common Japanese girls from Tokyo streets, posing with a board written with specific minute of the day. Hundreds of Japanese women are involved in the initial project, with 1440 different images rotated in a day.

They seem to have a few new versions (Osaka etc.) that are only available in Japanese pages; it’s said that a handsome guys’ clock is currently in planning too.

I’ve temporary embedded the clock at the sidebar; check in again every minute or two and you should have a good idea on how it works… chances are you’ll stay here for a bit longer to check the pics lol.

Visit Bijin-Tokei’s official website for the high resolution CLOCK and more details. Sharing a few more favourite pics from the application [via Yonasu]…

Mavy… not now. It’s a Japanese company, so their focus will obviously be at their homeland.

If the idea gets popular other countries might ‘borrow’ the idea and make their own version. We might have a Korean version in future lol.

Loki… currently in planning. I’ll post it up when it’s out :)
