Hong Kong paparazzi hit the jackpot in early Wednesday morning (Sept 23) with some detailed footages of a street brawl between Malaysian singer Gary Chaw and HKG pop star Justin Lo. Cantonese video below [or watch it at OnTv]
The usually best of buddies exchanged words and punches after leaving a pub in Central and had to be separated by their friends. The duo then bizarrely left the scene on the same cab, and a second fight followed soon after.
Chaw was obviously the aggressor in the second incident; besides the flying kick, he was also seen grabbing a metal road sign and tried to hit Lo before being stopped by a common friend, or it could be a much nastier outcome.
Both artists have made their public apology for improper act through different channels. Despite claiming that they don’t have hard feelings for each other, the duo will be investigated by the police and could face penalties for their brawl.
Gary Chaw in particular is facing heavy criticism, as this was not his first involvement in drunken controversies. While given beneficial of doubts over the past, there’s no excuses this time after being caught red handed on tape.
It’s fun to have a few drinks with friends; it’s not when it get out of control; and it’s worse if it happens a bit too often. Time to quit drinking Gary dude.
