Charice first rose to fame via online videos of her local performances, which led to her appearances in various oversea TV shows, most notably at Oprah in US in May 2008.
Legendary music producer David Foster also discovered her via the vids and became her mentor.
Charice released her first international single, Note to God in May 2009; check out her recent performance on Oprah.

At yang sinasabi mong “gaya-gaya siya kay sarah geronimo” Hindi niya kasalanan yan, dahil si Charice ay si Charice, at may sarili si charice na hairstylist, make-up artist, etc. Kung ano gawin sa itsura niya, hindi niya na kasalanan yon!

@rezelljoytarcita: i don’t think charice is a copycat. if your talking about her looks, she was asked by kris aquino kung bakit nagiba ung image niya and she said si oprah ung nagsabi na magchange siya ng look. and i agree with oprah she looks like her age na and she’s more pretty. i’m not a fan of her but i read your comment lang and i just thought that i should somewhat defend her. well, i’m not saying you should keep your thoughts to yourself but you should not be judgmental and accused things to someone. it’s not nice to look at.
