Hong Kong (retired) actress Gigi Lai, 38, announced yesterday (Feb 6) that she has tied the knot with 52-year-old businessman husband.
Gigi didn’t share much about her actual wedding date, but the latest news suggested that the couple was already registered in September 2008, a month before Gigi announced her showbiz retirement.

So typical. pretty actress (retired and slightly past her prime) goes and finds some older (graying around the temples) rich sugar-daddy businessman to keep her fed and clothed and living the highlife for the rest of her days. All the while he probably has a few young sweet mistresses on the side that he sees occasionally to keep him satisfied. Lol, same ol story.

i saw somebody said she should’ve chose julian hui. No way, i think Julian and Michelle match waaayyyy more that Julian and Gigi. Its probably true that Gigi chose this dude because she knows that the young better looking millionaires will not love her entirely neither will they remain faithful(that is extremely hard for them). Please give GIGI LAI a chance. She has been through a lot, started working at 14 to support a family, now almost 40, she still has to support a disabled/invalid brother.
She deserves to have a wealthy man to take care of her.
Gigi is a very loving daughter and sister. She takes her family responsibilities seriously. She supports her brother when he was in medical school.
How many woman this day and age do what she did.
Just because her husband is old doesn’t mean that he is bad.
Everyone will grow old some day, it is a matter sooner or later.

Probably, one day you may end up marrying a rich old guy yourself if terrible/unfortunate/tragic things happen to your family members.
By the way, gigi did not say she is retiring because she wants to take care of her brother. She said she wants to spend more time with her family – which could include taking care of her brother, her parents, her husband and now her child.
Must we always marry someone who’s compatible in terms of age, social standing and looks? And if we do that, that’ll be true love? Who knows, maybe people are saying that you aren’t compatible with your other half behind your back? That you’re uglier or of worse character?

This really reminded me of her. I believe she is not marrying him because of his money. She just wants someone to love her. Furthermore, Gigi’s already 38! She’s not young anymore, women this age probably want to just settle down and have a family.
