Love her or hate her, little would disagree that Gu Hye-sun is the most multi-talented artist in Korean showbiz at the moment.

Gu has been excelling since making her acting breakthrough in hit drama Boys Over Flowers earlier this year.

But instead of advancing into the next drama/movie, she took the chance to show off her other talents instead.

She published a novel, Tango, while nearing the end of BoF’s filming. The sales gone well as expected, riding the wave of the drama’s popularity.

She made her directing debut with a short film, A Cheerful Caretaker, which premiered at the Busan Asian Short Film Festival in May. She’s also the screenwriter for the film.

She then showed off another artistic side with a solo illustrations exhibition in July, again drawing plenty of interest.

Her latest project is a mini-album Breath, which was released on September 3, with eight self-composed piano pieces. I guess singing would be her next.

The success of her multi-branching is probably due to the fact that she has the backing of a large fanbase. That being said, I can’t think of any Asian celeb who’s showing the kind of diversity, especially at relatively young age of 24.

Job well done. Hope that there’s plenty more to come from Gu Hye-sun.

Goo hye sun has a nice voice but, no offense, she’s really not good at speaking English, although if she practices well she will do good… she’s multitalented, that would be the reason for her heavenly fame…and her piano piece “Sweet Smell”, it was simple yet elegant in a mysterious way, hope i can get a music sheet for it… and by the way, may i ask if there would be Boys Over Flowers Part 2? I’m a BIG fan of it.. thanks and good luck!!
