Hollywood star Keanu Reeves has confirmed taking the role of Spike Spiegel in the live action adaptation of acclaimed Japanese anime series “Cowboy Bebop”.
No news about the remainder of the main cast and production schedule… hope that there’s finally a good Japanese anime adaptation from Hollywood.

my hope is for hollywood to NOT adapt anymore japanese anime.. live action movie just cannot show the characteristic of japanese anime. the only one i can remember is nana, but i still prefer the anime version.
Look wise he is perfect as Spike but Spike’s personality is very different then any characters he has played before so I’m a little concerened.
But it seems Keanu has seen the anime and he would like Yoko Kanno to do the music.
Yeah, look wise he suits the role pretty well… but personality wise, it’s always hard to imitate a Japanese anime character, and to be frank he isn’t a great actor.
