Pop legend Michael Jackson died on Thursday. He collapsed at his home in LA and pronounced dead at 2:26 pm local time. He died of cardiac arrest, with suspicion of overdosed on his prescription in some news reports.
I grew up listening to his songs, and despite all the controversies surrounding his life, Michael will always be the King of Pop in my heart… he will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace Michael.
It’s a sad loss for pop music. The man’s life was never normal most people’s standards. He’d been in the spotlight since he was a small boy. He had to live a reclusive life and I believe that also contributed to his health in the long term. Along with the mental stresses that he had to endure. People have never fully realized either that beneath the plastic surgery and the face that wasn’t really his natural face, he was an aging human being just like all of us. But still, 50 years old is a young age to die.
Also, Farrah Fawcett Majors died today from her fight with Cancer. She was 62 years old.
