City of Kuala Lumpur in 1961. Video by Michael Rogge, (former) banker and cinematographer from Netherlands who was stationed in Asia in 1950s…

There’s a huge video collection of Rogge during his stay in Japan and Hong Kong from 1949 to 1961, which I absolutely adore… it’s a valuable cultural heritage imo. You can check all his works on his Youtube channel.

    Michael.

Thanks for this stuff. and for all the HK stuff.

I was born in 1941 in Miri, SARAWAK.

Went to school at KGV (in Hong Kong since 1948).

Married in HK (daughter of Captain Philip BLOWN, Chief Pilot of CPA – look up VR-HEU on internet)

Left HK after being Broadcaster Radio HK /Rediffusion several years, to come home to Sydney, Australia in 1962.

Joined Australian Immigration and travelled the world since, working at Aussie Embassies. Now retired in Canberra.

Every couple of years we have a School Reunion. This October (next month)8 – 17 in Marriot Bangkok, and Marriot Phuket.

    Can you come?

    Warmest regards

    Mitch Meredith
