SM Entertainment, one of Korea’s largest talent management agencies, is kicking off its 09′ global audition on February 14th in its home ground, with plans to extend the audition to China, Japan, South East Asia, Canada and USA etc.
SM is looking for various talents in singing, acting, dancing, modelling etc. It’s said that all Asians are welcome regardless of nationality and age… but I doubt they would want a 40-year-old veteran lol.

1. Singer – prepare 1 or 2 songs which you can sing without accompaniment. Please make sure that you are confident in your song selection and that the song fits best to your voice.
2. Dancer – Free Style Dancing, CD to be submitted to the reception desk on the audition date by the applicant. (If you do not bring any CD for dance, random music will be played.)
3. Actor – Impromptu Acting, memorized monologue to be prepared by applicant.
4. Model – Free posing. (5 or more)
5. Producer/Composer (Writer) – Producer/Composer (Writer) Demo CD or written music to be brought by the applicant.

we really wANT TO JOIN THE AUDITION,BUT THE DISTANCE MAKES US REALLY HAVE TO THINK TWICE. BESIDE IN OUR COUNTRY, WE CAN’T GO ANYWHERE, IF WE DON’T HAVE OUR OWN MONEY. IF WE WANT TO GO FOR A JOB, WE HAVE TOBE PASSED 16 ALREADY..

dimitri… SM does voice their intention to have auditions in South East Asia this year… just that nothing has been confirmed yet.
Besides, there are plenty of options to become a singer; I believe there are many talent agencies in Indonesia… you don’t have to rely everything on SM.

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so hungry for this audition!!!!!!!!!!! I am planning to audition there and here cause we had this so-called PBB Season 3 auditions. So’ I’ll try my best to pass it but I’m in doubt cause I can’t even make it to SM!!!! I almost tried for twice but i failed!!!!!!!

I watched the artists message… from super junior…i think it’s confirmed they will have the audition in southeast asia… since they talk in hangul…i can only cathed some venues… like in Thailand and Malaysia… other place they din mention. Another two places are America and Canada.
I’m not sure what they say about Europe… My hangul is not good enough…
VR… I think the star messages are not the latest, but for 2008 or earlier.
I see… yea i doubt at first because in the video they look different and mention something about super junior M audition which supoz to be last year. I think the SHINee’s message is the latest right? Anyway, recently in KBS world website, there’s a news about the audition. I think for now it’s confirmed they will have it at those places. Not unless later they cancel it at the last minute. SM Entertainment has been conducting this worldwide audition since 2006. This year’s audition is to start in Korea on February 14 and travel to 15 countries, including China, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Canada, and the United States.
The audition is open to anyone with no restrictions in nationality or age. There are five categories – singing, acting, modeling (fashion and commercial), dancing, and music composition. Applicants are encouraged to register their personal information and photo online (2009sm@smtown.com), but they can also register at the audition site on the day of audition.
