SM Entertainment, one of Korea’s largest talent management agencies, is kicking off its 09′ global audition on February 14th in its home ground, with plans to extend the audition to China, Japan, South East Asia, Canada and USA etc.
SM is looking for various talents in singing, acting, dancing, modelling etc. It’s said that all Asians are welcome regardless of nationality and age… but I doubt they would want a 40-year-old veteran lol.

Nov 22 – Toronto Korean Center, Toronto
Nov 22 – Executive Plaza Hotel, Vancouver

1. Singer – prepare 1 or 2 songs which you can sing without accompaniment. Please make sure that you are confident in your song selection and that the song fits best to your voice.
2. Dancer – Free Style Dancing, CD to be submitted to the reception desk on the audition date by the applicant. (If you do not bring any CD for dance, random music will be played.)
3. Actor – Impromptu Acting, memorized monologue to be prepared by applicant.
4. Model – Free posing. (5 or more)
5. Producer/Composer (Writer) – Producer/Composer (Writer) Demo CD or written music to be brought by the applicant.

I was just wondering, but if SM asked you to sing another song, does that mean you sucked at your first song, or that they want to hear more of you?
to hitomi: probably because they want to hear more of you. if you sucked at your first song, they’ll probably tell you to stop lol.
felice… you’ll have to use your own common sense to judge that.
wallcow… no clue, email SM for confirmation.
lolsptf… you’ll have to ask SM for that as well; I don’t think you are encouraged to dance in groups.

Hitomi… agree with spring water. Just to add a bit… it’s most likely a second chance, when you are good, but not good enough to impress them to take you in yet.

i tried the lemon and water thing. but it was really sour. i used a cup of water and like 1/3 of a lemon juice. it kindda hurts my throat after. and i decided to use a straw instead so i dont taste the sourness that much. is that supposed to happen? or did i put too much lemon juice?
to hitomi: a while ago, you said that you got a reply from jyp? have they contacted you any time after yet? i’m so nervous~ >< same with sm..did you get a reply yet?
springwater: JYP; They replied with “wait 2 weeks for results” and as of today it has been exactly 2 weeks. I’m not jumping to conclusions yet, but I would say that since JYP Global auditions are going on, they are going to wait till they see more people before they even pick out the good ones from e-mail auditions. You get what I mean?
SM; SM e-mail auditions has never sent me an reply, and from reading other peoples post, I doubt SM sent anyone an reply. The only thing I got from SM was my Nov.15 LA Global Audition ‘ticket’ thingy.
to hitomi: how long did you wait until you got your ‘ticket’? i haven’t gotten mine yet and i sent the email to 2009sm 9 days ago..i guess i just have to wait for now

springwater: I sent my application on 10/13 and got the ticket on 10/21 so thats about 8 days.
destiny: When i said ‘ticket’ i meant an e-mail reply with my audition time, not a plane ticket o_O… and I live in FL but flying to LA for my auditions

hi. i sent an application form for the Toronto Live audition October 20th and i got a reply today, which is November 2nd. So that’s like 13 days. i just realized that in junior’s email reply, it said to come at 12.45 i think. but mine said 5.45 so that means i signed up pretty late, right? but that’s A LOT of people who signed up early. wow.
