SM Entertainment, one of Korea’s largest talent management agencies, is kicking off its 09′ global audition on February 14th in its home ground, with plans to extend the audition to China, Japan, South East Asia, Canada and USA etc.
SM is looking for various talents in singing, acting, dancing, modelling etc. It’s said that all Asians are welcome regardless of nationality and age… but I doubt they would want a 40-year-old veteran lol.

Nov 15 – Wilshire Plaza Hotel, Los Angeles
Nov 22 – Toronto Korean Center, Toronto
Nov 22 – Executive Plaza Hotel, Vancouver
Nov 27/28 – Korea Village, New York

1. Singer – prepare 1 or 2 songs which you can sing without accompaniment. Please make sure that you are confident in your song selection and that the song fits best to your voice.
2. Dancer – Free Style Dancing, CD to be submitted to the reception desk on the audition date by the applicant. (If you do not bring any CD for dance, random music will be played.)
3. Actor – Impromptu Acting, memorized monologue to be prepared by applicant.
4. Model – Free posing. (5 or more)
5. Producer/Composer (Writer) – Producer/Composer (Writer) Demo CD or written music to be brought by the applicant.

OMGG!! it’s november the 13th here in toronto and the audit is on the 22nd!! thats 11 days!!! OMGG. anyone here going to the one in toronto besides er.. i dont remember but i know theres someone here going to the toronto audit. OMG!

I’m auditioning for weekly auditions by email. Are we allowed to send in more than one song? And can we record our specialty?
Cause in the application form it asks for a our specialty, and I wanna send them a video of it.
er… yeah. i just re read my post and i realized i did the math wrong. it’s supposed to be in 9 DAYS!!. lol. i google mapped the place so i would know where to go. sigh.

zhary: zhary,if you really wanna audition then you can audition by mail. or you can just fly to korea and audition there.. or you can wait for the southeast asia global auditions and you can fly to the nearest country like thailand or malaysia.. but if you really really want to audition now… as in now.. then i suggest you go for mail/post audition. not the email.. does that help?
and another thing.. nationality is not a problem as long as you got the talent..
can anyone tell me how long would they reply to an e-mail ???

curious… as far as I could remember, they never replied to any standard emails. For registration, it ranged from a week to a month to get a respond.

I’m auditioning my email and recording a video of myself singing instead of just recording my voice. It’s almost 300mb and it’s too big for me to upload on the email.
Does anyone know if it’s okay to upload it on sites like megaupload? Or is youtube better (I don’t really want other people to see it)

to julie: well you can trust us to give u good advice. and like if u dont want to be given critisism or have people seeing u sing or dance maybe you should rethink if u want to be an idol or not since being an idol is all about people seeing u sing and dance and everything. but dont worry most of us here have posted a video of us singing so there isnt anything to be scared about =D
I registered online and they already replied back with a email, (saying the time I should be there, what I need to prepare…etc.) should I print that off, take it to the audition and show them that I did register online? Or will they have the information so you can just tell them your name?
