Trailer for Chinese movie The Founding of A Republic (建国大业), the biggest Chinese film ever produced in terms of star appearances, made in celebration for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The video is a combo of various trailers, it gets repetitive after the 4th minute…

The story revolves around the civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communists, which ended in 1949 when the People’s Republic of China was established by the victorious Communists.

Almost all notable A-list mainland Chinese stars are taking (at least a cameo) part in the movie; many without paid just to have their face in the symbolic film.

jackie chan looks so funny haha. the cast is great, its worth a watch. hope its not too patriotic kind of movie, will be annoying if they are promoting how great communism is.

This looks very interesting, but with all these big named stars how truthful a movie with this be? Seems like the Chinese gov might be using this a propaganda.
