Dined at Toscani’s Wine & Dine at Waterfront, Kota Kinabalu, during my trip in March 2009; the restaurant is specialised in Italian and Spanish fusion…

Pizza at Toscani Wine and Dine, Kota Kinabalu

Their pizzas were special, the crusts were really thin and as crunchy as potato chips; I would probably prefer normal bread-like crust in long run, but their pizzas worth a try for its uniqueness. Seafood pastas were great, and the side dishes we ordered were decent as well; not happy with the dessert though.

The restaurant offered some other higher priced items which looked tempting, but we didn’t want to spend big for the meal; the bill came at ~RM240 (USD66) for six pax, slightly upmarket price in KK standard, still reasonable though.

U went to the right place for Italian foods. Didn’t u try fried ice-cream and tiramisu? Taste so nice~

Another place for even better Italian fusion in KK is Little Italy (located just the opposite of Wisma Merdeka).

“In my recent trip to Clark Freeport, I chanced upon an amazing restaurant inside Mimosa. It’s just past the Holiday Inn. It was better than the high-end restaurants in 5-star hotels in Manila! I think the name is YATS Restaurant. It is not that expensive but the food is great and they have an incredible wine cellar too.”

“I have to share this with you – the lamb rack at YATS Restaurant is out of this world. Aside from the fact the lamb is cooked to perfection, the sidings are even more exciting. This is real fine-dining stuff, best I have seen in this country, and second to none that I have seen in other cities including Singapore and Tokyo.”
