Celyne… we didn’t stay at any 5 star hotel, but backpackers hostel instead.

If you are looking for 5 star hotels, there’s Sutera Harbour, Shangri La and Hyatt etc.

We bought our tickets during special offer, which cost around USD40 per pax for a return trip.

Set aside the flight, Malaysia is a relatively cheap place for travelling; we can get a 5-star hotel room for less than USD50 a night, budget hostels probably less than USD10 per pax… it’s one heck of a bargain for westerners.

wow…if that price included airfare…that’s CHEAP! but you live pretty close whereas i would be flying half-way around the world. :) my airfare alone will probably be close to $1000.

Overall the trip cost around RM1500 (~USD420); our flights were really cheap though.
