In short, yes you can. But in normal circumstances, we would choked if we are drinking that fast, it’s sort of a self-protective mechanism to prevent the water to going to the wrong places.
This dude (and most other competitive eaters) actually conditioned their brain and throat (or body, whatever) to take the risk and allow the mass consumption.
Lol, the look on the second to the last dude’s face was priceless. Funny stuff watching those people. Couldn’t tell if he was gonna get sick from what he just saw or was just stunned and befuddled. Lol.
