Strong words, lol. I don’t own an iPad (yet) but I have to admit that it’s an interesting gadget for entertainment purpose, and it could become pretty handy when travelling.
I played with one in a store, it was fun, and even had pictures of my old girlfriend under the sample Beijing photos, but its not for anything but mindless pursuits.

I don’t think iPad will ever get a USB. Apple want people to follow them instead of them following the others. They’ll change their mind only if the demand is way too high. At the moment the users seem to be fine using an adaptor instead.
And there’s also the conspiracy theory that Apple is trying to milk the customers slowly, by adding extra features one at a time so that they can continue to sell their upgrades.
i have quit chasing these gadgets long time ago. i hate that the stuff i bought will become outdated in short while, like if i own an ipad in 12 months it will be outdated with ipad 2, and then ipad 3 blah blah blah.
