Summary of June 2009 articles [view in standard blog format]…
Personal
Sharing my dining experience at the famous K10 Claypot Chicken Rice restaurant in Bercham; and at the New Restaurant chicken rice in Sri Petaling. Also, some photos of Thean Hou Temple in KL.
It’s the month of Super GT Series at Sepang International Circuit; plenty of sport cars and race queens photos to share…

I’m also guest blogging at MTV Iggy for a one month period.
Lifestyle and offbeat
Congrats to North and South Korea for qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup; the first time in history that both nation will be playing at the same tournament.
A cool life-sized Gundam model was assembled in Odaiba, Tokyo, to celebrate the anime franchise’s 30th anniversary. Also celebrating the 30th birthday is Sony’s Walkman, which was synonymous with portable audio devices in the 80s and 90s.
Another recent Japanese invention is unlikely to have the Walkman’s impact, but the mute karaoke system is quite a hit for people to enjoy the karaoke at home without making too much noise.
Life is good as a Korean police with all those super police cars (pic) around; life is even better if you are a Saudi princess in Paris. For common folks, we can try our luck on Taiwan’s Best Trip in The World contest instead.
And be careful not to look like a playboy or anti-social when visiting a pub, as the way you hold your glass reveals your personality.
Lifestyle videos… Japanese baby crying festival with over 400-years of history; Philippines roasted pig parade; Ford Model Delphine’s China travelogue; some lucky wild boars at an Indian temple in Malaysia; and Seoul’s tourism commercial.
Rounding it up with videos of a cute fat cat; funny Japanese comedy skit and the amazing Steven Purugganan, speed stacking champion and world record holder.
Showbiz and entertainment
Pop legend Michael Jackson is dead at age 50; and veteran Hong Kong actor Shek Kin passed away at the age of 96. RIP.
A scheduled interview with Korean pop star BoA was cancelled unfortunately… sharing one of her old song instead, “Atlantis Princess” from 2003.
Other Asian music videos include Yurisangja’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”; Daler Mehndi’s “Tunak Tunak Tun” and Wonder Girls’ English version of “Nobody”.
Also check out some pics of Filipina starlet Charice Pempengco who’s releasing her debut international English album soon.
The biggest Asian entertainment news of the month belongs to Chinese actress Isabella Leong, who gave birth to a baby boy (pic) in Canada, much to almost everyone’s surprise.
From Korea… actress Song Hye-kyo is appointed as panda ambassador; while pop group SNSD unveiled their marine girl pics and created plenty of buzz with their solo marine photos for their new mini-album, “Genie”. Check out their first track, “Tell Me Your Wish”.
Check out the trailer for Korean disaster film “Haeundae”; and the highly anticipated Korean drama “Iris”. Iris’ leading actor Lee Byung-hun will also feature in upcoming Hollywood film “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”.
Japan… Yosuke Eguchi and Nanako Matsushima are reuniting again in the 4th season of popular medical drama, 24 Hours Emergency Ward; while young pop star Ai Kawashima plans to build 100 schools worldwide for the poor.
This month commercials include Korean stars Sung Yuri’s Viki gallery; Won Bin & Shin Mina’s Maxim TOP coffee commercial; and Big Bang’s Fila collection.
Rounding off, list of winners from the 20th Taiwan Golden Melody Awards and some of the winners’ music video collection.
