Korean model Lee Hyun-ju won the top prize at the Asia Pacific Supermodel Contest 2007. The final of the supermodel contest was held in Goyang, Korea, on November 2.
The show was hosted by Korean stars Ryu Shi-won and Han Ji-hye; with guest performances from boyband Super Junior and singer Whee Sung. 31 female models from Korea, China, Japan and Thailand contested in the final.

Korean actor Won Bin has been appointed as UNICEF Special Representative. United Nations Children’s Fund (or UNICEF) is an international organization that emphasize on developing community-level services to promote the health and well-being of children.
The goal of the special representative program is to allow celebrities with interest in UNICEF vision to use their fame to draw attention to important issues. Won Bin is expected to help promoting various UNICEF events (in Korea) and to appear in some UNICEF promotional videos.

Dedicated UNICEF Special Representatives will later be named as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors. Famous Asian stars that are goodwill ambassadors include Jackie Chan, Leon Lai, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kelly Chen etc… while Korean ambassadors include celebrities like Ahn Sung-ki, Ryo Si-won and others.

According to KBS, a Japanese travel agency has introduced a package that includes a visit to the family house of Korean star Ryu Si-won in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province.
Ryu is famous TV actor; some of his drama series are quite popular in Japan.
During the 3-day tour of Ryu’s family house in Andong, tourists can see beautiful natural scenery and experience traditional Korean culture.
They will also get to sleep in Damyeonjae, where Queen Elizabeth II was given a birthday party and watched the Hahoi mask dance during her visit to Korea in April 1999.
Ryu’s fans should particularly enjoy this tour package, since Ryu’s mother will personally cook Korean dishes for the tourists and tell stories from his childhood.
