Extra note

For beginners, RSS is a web feed format used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries and news headlines. Readers can subscribe to the feed using a feed reader (e.g. Google Reader) or by email (just like newsletters).

The major benefit is that the subscribers would not need to check the site often for updates, but will receive the updates via the feed reader or email. This feature would be especially useful for websites that are updated inconsistently, and for readers that read a lot of blogs or news.

If you are subscribing to two different sub-feeds, you might read the same content twice once in a while. For example if I go to a fashion show and took some pictures, the content might appear in both feed of LIFE and POP CULTURE. This is one of the downside of diversifying the subscription option… but the varieties should do more good than bad for the readers.

Also note that the email subscription on the right column would subscribe the readers to the ALL IN ONE feed.
