Junrey Balawing from the Philippines has been officially certified by the Guinness World Records as the world’s shortest man.
Junrey celebrated his 18th birthday a couple of days ago, which makes him eligible for the record. He’s 59.93cm (23.6 inches), almost three inches smaller than the previous title holder, Nepal’s Khagendra Thapa Magar. The shortest living man in history was set by Gul Mohammed (India, 1957–97), who was found to be 22.5 inches tall.
According to his parents, Junrey has not grown since his first b’day. He lives with his parents and three younger siblings in Sindangan, a municipality in southern Philippines.

Very short indeed. But I think there might be people out there who are shorter but never been found by the Guiness. Those in kampung2x one. :-D
There’s always such possibility.
How tall are you yein jee?
because i compare my height with others…i am 5′ 7” feet
wich is 171 cm .i hate being short..i wish to be 185 cm
because girls say they like tall man .
being short sucks.
i am 26 so i am not going to grow more.
it sucks being small. and short. i am not asian by the way.
not all of us white people are tall. there are many short white people..
princce william is tall. he is so lucky
I’m shorter than you. You can’t change your height obviously, but you can change your heart… be confident of yourself and work hard to achieve successes. You’ll find yourself as tall as a giant in the eyes of the beholders if you can do that… height by then doesn’t really matter.
Yeah you’re right, but i think in asian contries like
China ,japan etc they judge less people on height.
I’m not sure how “bad” it is in the west. Asians are shorter in general, so I guess we are indeed less judgemental about height.
is there a world’s shortest woman? or is he just the world’s shortest person? hehe..
The world’s shortest woman (living) is Madge Bester, a South African. She’s 65cm (measured in 1991), which means the current shortest man is indeed the shortest person as well.
