Went to Zoo Negara on June 2, 2007.
It was our king’s birthday and a public holiday; my sister (with hubby and kids) from Prai took the chance to visit us in Kuala Lumpur. Where else could be better to bring a bunch of kids for family outing besides the zoo?
I can’t remember when my prior trip to Zoo Negara was; it must be more than a decade ago. I was surprised that the zoo was in good condition… I always thought that our national zoo was poorly managed. It’s probably still far from being world class, but it’s good enough to provide a decent experience for visitors.

Kuala Lumpur International Motorshow (KLIMS 06) in May 2006 at PWTC. The main attraction that got me to the auto show was the ASIMO robot from Honda… that alone was worth the visit.
Most people who went for the show were not looking for the cars, but the showgirls. The girls looked great indeed, but I was expecting more exotic cars… most of the cars were common models that we could find in normal show rooms.
Still, it was a cool event; they should organize it annually instead of every 3 years.

I started blogging in September 2005, and my first blog post was created on Sept 11 at 4.27am, at my old blog Jeelife.com.
I could still remember that day vividly… me and my buddies, CY and TW, had just finished a night long of card games and decided to take some supper.
At 3.30am, we didn’t have much option besides the mamak, but we didn’t feel like going to mamak and decided to drive to an open-24-hours Burger King outlet near Bandar Utama instead.
That was by far the worst burger meal I have ever had in my life, but I was feeling good… enjoying the leisure and total relax. Life was simple and easy… but somehow, on that night, I suddenly felt a strong urge to change.
Back then, I used to spend a lot of time playing cards and mahjong with my friends, sometimes 4-5 nights a week. It was fun… but these activities led to nothing meaningful at the end. I always wanted to travel around the world… and I knew that I would have no chance of achieving my dream if I continued living the life as it was.
I made up my mind that night… and gradually spent less and less time playing these games with my friends, and had abandoned the habit altogether not long after that.
I do miss those days once in a while, not for the games but for the feeling that I didn’t need to worry too much about my life… but I am glad that I decided to make the change. Life is looking good.
