It’s a blessing when a man says he’s tired…

I used to have a T-shirt with the above quote printed on it. I am not sure who ‘created’ the quote… I guess it must be a lucky man who didn’t need to work much in his life, and never really understand the definition of tired.

“I am tired.” Instead of feeling blessed, I just felt a strong sense of helplessness, both physically and mentally.

Things have been pilling up lately; I think it’s the first time in my life that I have felt so stressed and tense about my work. Sometimes I just felt like walk away from my tasks for a few days… to take a breath and relax; but chances are I will fall further behind with my schedule, the work won’t disappear overnight.

I always advice my friends not to be caught in a rat race with their work… but seems like I myself are caught in one at the moment. What an irony.

It’s not blessing when a man says he’s tired. It is only a blessing when a man says he’s tired, and can actually take a good rest from his tiredness.
