Went to the Paddy Museum (Muzium Padi Nasional) in Kedah on Mar 22 (2008). The museum has been a popular place among Perakians; lots of my friends and relatives have been there somehow.

My mum was eager to pay the museum a visit too… so we took the chance to visit the place while visiting my sister in Seberang Perai during the weekend.

The paddy museum is located near Alor Setar, besides Gunung Keriang, a limestone hill. The highlight of the museum is actually a huge 360-degrees picture that features the bird eyes view of the surrounding environment around the museum, as well as the rice-growing cycle from ploughing to harvesting.

Went to MATTA Fair at PWTC with CY on Friday (Mar 15) to book a trip for Taiwan.

This fella, a representative at Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s booth, managed to draw a large crowd with his cute marshmallows, which were made on the spot and free for sampling.

Was hoping to catch some other interesting stuff at the cultural show (from various countries), but the performances were pretty similar to the previous fair… still ok anyway.

One of my favourite photos, taken back in Feb 2006 on a Sunday morning from my old house at Petaling Jaya…

Life is beautiful on a Sunday morning
Beautiful Sunday morning

It’s not just the scenery that pleased me, but the unexpected circumstances… it reminds me that life should be blissful, and that happiness could be found easily if we choose to find it.

Appreciate life, be happy, and Carpe diem.

Some KL neighbours had hired a troop of lion dance performers to cheer up the Chinese New Year. Odd thing is, KL people seem to like lion dancing at night, contrary to the daytime performances in my hometown, Ipoh.

Besides, KL folks are bolder in lighting up the fire crackers despite the public ban. I don’t mind at all though… the banning of fire crackers is ridiculous at the first place.

Some lion dance photos taken from Ipoh at my cousins’ home on Feb 8. Happy CNY guys…

Went to Petaling Street on Monday (Feb 4, 2008), trying to catch some Chinese New Year (CNY) mood… came back feeling moody indeed, for the wrong reason though.

Being an idiot… will only hurt the people you love.

Those people that you want to sh!t at won’t bother about how idiotic you are… probably because they are much idiotic than you could ever be.

Some people are born to be idiots… some are just not meant to be.

Bought this plant for around 2 months… only started to bloom last week.

Egyptian blue water lily
Water lily or a lotus flower? Whatever…

Not really sure what the official name for this flower is… the Chinese nursery named this as lotus flower in general, but it looks more like a water lily instead because of its leaves.

Took this photo of water lettuce from the little pond at my house after a rainy afternoon. I wonder if water lettuce is actually edible… doesn’t seem like a tasty treat regardless.

Water lettuce or water cabbage
Water lettuce, also known as water cabbage… or Pistia stratiotes if you prefer something scientific
