I love studying, but I hate exams. I am still having nightmares about exams occasionally despite the fact that I have not been taking any exams after graduating from university years ago.

I would dream that I got the exam date wrong, forgot to bring my calculator or writing tools, woke up late and had to rush to the exam hall and some other funny stuff. Well, the earlier two incidents actually did happen… I have no idea where the other recurring imaginations came from.

Sometimes, having nightmares is not really a bad thing. Every time when I woke up from these exam nightmares, I got the huge sense of relieve that I am already beyond those exam days, and it always made me giggled at how foolish those dreams were.

Attended a wedding of a high school friend on Dec 7 (2007)… brought back lots of memories and some thoughts about my own future.

High school is probably the best moment in my life. I am glad that I have had a decent high school life, and that I have made some great friends that are still around and will probably last for life.

Some people don’t like to think much about the past, but I am the type that often looks back at what I did and in hope that I will never forget all the bitter and sweet from the past.

It’s not like that I am hanging too much on the past and neglecting the future, but what’s good is the future if we don’t treasure our past? Our near future will be in past tense pretty soon… and we want to make a good future so that it would be great memories when it becomes “the past” ain’t so?

Well, just treasure everything we have experienced, experiencing and will experience soon… and enjoy our life at the very best at all time.

Happy wedding Alyster and Samuel.

Read from a paper that the National Council of Parent-Teacher Associations (NCPTA) has suggested imposing a curfew for students after 10pm… funny.

When I was studying for STPM 9-10 years ago… I would still be in the school library by 10pm, probably having supper with some buddies by 11pm and reached home by midnight. Among those friends that I often had supper with… 2 have become doctors, at least a few engineers and most others are doing well in their respective fields.

What would happen if a 10pm curfew was imposed 10 years ago? Some of us could still do well… but I doubt all of us could achieve what we have now if we were forced to live like Cinderella back then.

NCPTA is hoping that the curfew could stop youngster from hanging out in late night… I can see their point; but imposing a curfew is not the solution.

When I was in primary school… we were taught that Ahmad, Ah Kau and Raju are all good friends, and we helped each other regardless of races.

My father was a great role model of racial bonding, he had a wide group of friends that he mixed with, and he used to bring me to his friends’ open house during festive seasons… back then I believed in racial harmony without a single doubt.

Things only started to change when I moved to high school. Suddenly I realized that most of the Chinese had to study in Remove Class, while Malays weren’t require to do so. The intention itself was not bad, but I started realizing that Malays and non Malays were somehow different.
