Malaysia Airlines MH370 gone missing

Condolences to the families of the passengers and crew on board of MH370 flight.

Malaysia’s prime minister announced late Monday that the plane, which has been missing since March 8, had crashed in the southern Indian Ocean.

The conclusion came via data and analysis from UK satellite firm Inmarsat and the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch.

There are still many questions unanswered. Hope the plane could be found soon to provide proper closure for the victims and families.

I must say I still don’t understand this story, did the pilot and co-pilot just decide they were going to fly 7 hours in the wrong direction and then crash the plane? Did nobody get suspicious that the 6 hour flight was taking longer then normal? Its still such a strange case and I don’t think will ever have real answers.

    • There are a few possibilities. I agree it’s difficult to get a real answer, the black box and whatever data (if it could be found at the first place) probably won’t provide enough clues, the investigators can only give their best guess.

Right now we have to find the plane, I understand the need to make the announcement (that it had crashed) but from the families’ perspective most would want a definite confirmation.
