A friend of mine who is doing his PhD research at one of the local universities is chosen to attend a prestigious international scientific conference in June, fully sponsored by the government.
My friend is a smart guy, I have no doubt about that. The only problem is that lots of his time is spent on watching porns and downloading anime torrents… yes, that’s how easy it is to study PhD in our universities (or perhaps my friend is really a genius lol).
Can’t imagine how our government has managed to choose this fella to represent our country to meet with the best scientists around the world… well, have a nice trip regardless, my dear friend.

Haha…Thats shows how lame is Malaysian Educational system… I’m regretting being a citizen of this country. In UK its very difficult to obtain (Hons) together with a degree in three years time but in Malaysia we can easily obtain (hons) which has no value at all in that three years time. If we want a (hons) in UK we must study for extra one year in order to obtain it. Thats shows the difference in between the quality of education in UK and Malaysia.
It’s a long journey to improve our universities’ standard… what annoyed me is that we are heading in the wrong direction constantly. The government has been focusing too much on producing more graduates while ignoring the qualities, and there are simply too much politics involved in universities’ administrations.

YJ, offering PhD scholar is not only for nerds and bookworms! it is for those with
brains! personal interest contributes a minority of it… y r sooo againts that one?
because u need to work damn hard to get a scholarship? need to crack your head just to be able to place yourself in whatever position u r in right now? people are born with different levels of intelligence, soft-skills, emotions, expertise bla bla bla… so just find yrs and be happy and WORK on it! =)
