Liwat-gate, sodomy-gate, turkey-gate, whatever-gate… the million dollar question is, is Anwar orchestring his own play?

The thought of Anwar plotting the show is rising for the past two days… just that most people who share the thought would not dare to raise their concerns fearing of being branded as cynical and also the backlash from PKR and Anwar’s supporters.

Just a few thoughts…

Who is the one that is actually benefiting the most from the current saga?
Is BN government that stupid to frame Anwar using the same old trick?
Who is behind the death threat?
Did Anwar really received a death threat or just tips from ‘reliable sources’?
Is the whole police force that corrupted that they are no good cops around at all?
Is it a logical choice to seek protection from a foreign embassy?
WTF do we need to involve foreign interference with this?
Isn’t it a bit too convenient for Turkey to provide the sanctuary?
Is Malaysia that volatile these days?
Are we in the same league of Myanmar, Zimbabwe or Pakistan?

I don’t want to suggest anything further… plenty of questions with no apparent answers though.

A few thoughts worth reading from other bloggers… Aizuddin and Bigdog.

    HI there,

I think you should ask Tun Dr. M whether Anwar is staging this act. Don’t forget TDM’s noted statement that Anwar beat himself to a pulp and after the fact, none other than the IGP was found guilty and sentenced for this heinous crime.

you are not the only one thinking about that. if anwar is really behind this, his tactic is already backfiring, because not all people are believing his story… its like an actor overacting in a drama, it looks too fake.

I am appalled seeing people fall prey to Anwar’s dramas. Do these people genuinely think he’s noble, pious, and the greatest leader ever lived? Come on… Do you still remember while in Sg Buloh, he claimed (one of the many other things) that they injected him with HIV? He looks alive and kicking after a few years, if I may say… His die-hard fans should see the obvious about his struggle - is it about the country or is it about revenge? If he’s truly pious, he doesn’t go barking around the globe (for funding perhaps?)

can understand why the thought that this is all one man’s show is gaining momentum. It is very apparently foolish for the government to use back the same old tricks, and for better or worse our current government is no longer the same one, in fact it’s dramatically different. First their side claim that they knew all along that the 23 year old is a plant and they even have the pictures to “prove” it. Then they claimed that the Embassy persuaded him to allow them to grant him their protection for 7 hours and he finally “relented” - only to be conclusively denied later. And next in the menu was the claim that they received military intel that his life was in grave danger, and now we have the US saying they’ll back him if he is “maliciously prosecuted”. The government isn’t foolish enough to risk vindicating Anwar yet again in the court of public opinion, neither is the Turkish Embassy so foolish as to meddle with another country’s affair quite so blatantly. Sandiwara politik seseorang lelaki yang sangat berani.

[...] Anwar was accused in the 90s, I believe he was framed; and despite my dispute over the recent accusation, I still believe that Anwar did not do it. However, does that mean that [...]

Looks like I am not the only one with second thoughts about this Saiful episode. (See my comments in your previous blog).
