So much pain and sufferings are associated with the SALLEH ABAS SAGA. Tun Dr. Mahathir has given his version, so too Tun Salleh Abas and his sympathisers.

What is the truth behind the SAGA? I do not believe that Tun Dr. Mahathir is sadistic in nature to enjoy the pain and sufferings of the judges. The situation was such there was no other way but to set up the Tribunal. The rest of the story is history.

Who can tell us the truth ? The Yang Pertuan Agong then, the Sultan of Johore.

If nobody dares to ask the Sultan, then let this SAGA pass.But the rakyats have the right to know NOW how much gratis payments were made to the Judges. The money is not Zaid grandfather’s money.

I think trying to disgrace the future Sultan of Perak is pure suicide. So Mahathir waited and pounced on Tun Salleh Abas and the other justices who dared to stood up to him.

Tun Mahathir knew he would have to take out all the independent minded Supreme Court Justices if he were to have total domination over Malaysia.He already took care of the royals( constitutional crisis 1983) before proceding to obliterating the judiciary. The question is, why Tun Salleh Abas and not Tun Azlan Shah? I mean, he was already PM in1981, Tun Salleh only took over as LP( now Chief Justice) in 1984. Was he a easy picking? Only Mahathir can answer that.

Tun Salleh Abbas asked for it. And he has been rambling for decades that he is innocent and above the law. What a waste of money to pay the ex-gratia. Pak Lah should use the money for the oil subsidery instead and makes us rakyat happy.

action against the judges begins when the umno crisis started, before tun salleh abbas do anything. tun salleh abbas might dug his own grave, but he is just making mahathir’s job easier. our judicial system has never been the same since 1988. btw, you type the wrong year (1998).

Yes.. now we know that it was Tun Salleh Abas who caused the judiciary to be tarnished. He was egoistic and thought judges cannot be criticised and he answers to no one. Bad mistake! hahaha
