Abdul Latiff was responding on why the government decided to extend the houseman-ship period for trainee doctors from one to two years when he blurted out the controversial words.

What he said was harsh and stupid, but he actually made a good point for his entire speech, that doctors are responsible for the life or death of their patients. Any mistakes or poor judgments from the doctors could lead to serious illness, injuries or fatality… and these cases are not unheard of in Malaysia.

I have a friend who was asked to do an angiogram (normally for heart problems) when she got a gastric; another unfortunate friend had half of his liver cut off because the doctor wrongly diagnosed his earlier symptoms… luckily he survived.

I am sure most of you have heard of some bizarre cases where doctors were making the wrong calls… not from gossips or papers, but real cases among your friends and relatives. For me, it happens a bit too often to be frank.

Licensed to kill? Maybe not; but incompetent doctors certainly could.

The dissolution of this Parliament was made 15 months before the expiry of its five-year term on May 16, 2009. According to the Election Commission (EC), the country has 10.9 million voters including about 700,000 new voters who can vote in the upcoming elections. [Bernama]

I couldn’t bother much about BN’s rank or whatever policy. I am just wondering how people like you and me could get our voices to be heard by our government…

The UMNO led government has responded to the recent demonstrations saying that street rallies are unnecessary, and that they are willing to listen from the people through proper channels.

Thing is… if opposition leaders raised their concerns, they will be raped with all the insults possible. If a BN representative raised his opinions, like Devamany did… well, he is accused of breaking the ranks.

In the end… no one can say anything that the UMNO leaders do not want to listen. Badawi doesn’t care… and he has the most ferocious guarding dog at his Prime Minister Department that will bite on EVERYONE who voiced their dissatisfaction at the current government.

Government ready to listen to the citizens? Forget about it… that’s bullsh!t.

I am not sure what to say… it’s kinda funny when I read it at the first place; but then, isn’t it a bit saddening that we have this kind of morons in the parliament? What future could Malaysia have if our parliament is filled with a few more of these people? What future could Malaysia have if our country is filled with voters who picked these people into the parliament?

Thing is, if my 30-year-old house in Ipoh can survive the ‘global changes in weather pattern’… what makes the Parliament building so vulnerable to heavy rains? Luckily we don’t have a typhoon or something, or else the members of parliaments will have to hold their meetings in some mamak stalls.

Besides, what does the flood in the West have to do with the leaks in our Parliament?
