Japanese figure skater Miki Ando won the World Figure Skating Championships’ ladies event in Russia on Saturday. This is her second world championship title; she also won it in 2007.
Korean Olympics champion and world record holder Kim Yuna took the second spot while Italian European champion Carolina Kostner claimed the bronze.
Meanwhile, Asian-Canadian Patrick Chan won the men’s event with new world records for both the short and long programs (and obviously for the total points scored too).
