My 23rd day in Seoul. My mum is reading my blog expecting my latest stories, so I’m feeling a bit guilty for the lack of updates lol. Quick note… I’ve been eating well, sleeping well (10-12 hours a day, must be the winter hmmm) and living well. Nothing that need to be worried about; take good care of yourself instead.
It snowed a bit last Wednesday; me and a Taiwanese guy (who was probably more excited about the snowfall than I did) chit-chatted under the snowfall for half-an-hour until the snow turned into rain. Two crazy dude.
The weather is getting warmer; it’s sunny most of the time, and it rains instead of snows. In fact it wasn’t expected to snow on last Wed… a pleasant surprise.
Fresh potato chips in Myeong-dong (yummy!)
Binggrae banana milk
Banana milk, popular drink in Korea, and Binggrae is one of the biggest brands. Didn’t like it… way to sweet for me and a bit powdery, which reminded me of some medicine-syrup for kids…
A mini children playground carved out of ice at the 80-year-old Shinsegae Department Store; there’s even a slide for kids, how COOL was that…
An open space at Coex Mall, which is part of a huge leisure-business-entertainment complex. There’s also a kimchi museum and aquarium inside the complex, which I’m likely to visit next time…
Spicy pork buns
I’ve become a regular customer at a shop nearby my hostel which specialises in pork buns. Pretty nice especially when eaten hot during the chilly weather…
Roast chicken stuffed with rice
Another product nearby my hostel; 6000 won for a whole (but a bit small) chicken, which is surprisingly cheap by Seoul standard. The interesting thing is that the chicken was stuffed with some glutinous rice (didn’t know that when I bought it); tasted rather bland (and pardon me for the unappetising picture lol)…
Sunset. Photo taken on a pedestrian bridge nearby Namdaemun Market. Nice?
That’s it for this edition of Seoul roundup.
