Photos from the pit walkabout of Super GT Malaysia 2008 at SIC on Saturday (June 21). Pit walkabout is a session where pass holders were allowed to visit the pit-lane to catch a closer look at the race cars, drivers and race queens…

Went to Sepang International Circuit this morning with KC to catch a glimpse of the Super GT, a popular Japan based auto racing series.
Today was practise session for the racers… and some practises for me too. It’s a bit challenging for a n00b to take photos of these fast moving vehicles; below are some of the better shots with plenty of rooms for improvements…

Japanese company Genepax has recently introduced its eco-friendly car that runs on nothing but water. The car has an energy generator that extracts hydrogen from water that is poured into the car’s tank. The generator then releases electrons that produce electric power to run the car.
An innovative live TV commercial by Honda UK, with a team of elite skydivers attempt to form the letters H, O, N, D and A in sequence within a three minute time limit.
Their (successful) attempt was shown live, originally on Channel 4 at 8.10pm on May 29; this is the first ever truly live three minute TV ad shown in the UK.
Difficult is worth doing? Not sure what it means, but I like it.
490 Ferrari sport cars have set a new Guinness World Record at the Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka, Japan, on May 11, for the largest parade of Ferrari cars.
The Italian cars were required to parade for two miles while keeping the distance between each car for no more than two car-lengths apart to set the record.
The previous record was 385 at the Silverstone circuit, UK, in June 2007.
India’s Tata Motors has unveiled the world’s cheapest car on January 10th at New Delhi. The vehicle, called the Tata Nano, will sell for 100,000 rupees (USD2,500).
Company chairman Ratan Tata said that Nano is “a safe, affordable and all weather transport; a people’s car designed to meet all safety standards and emissions laws and accessible to all.”
Some environmentalist, as expected, are concerned that the car will lead to more air pollution from traffic congestions. Sounds true, but who are us to deny others the leisure to own their cars when we are driving one of our own? I bet that most of those environmental critics are car owners too.
